1. Acceptance of the terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the RuneCastle website, the closed beta sign-up and the game itself. By signing up or playing, you state that you have read and agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the game.
2. What RuneCastle is
RuneCastle is a free-to-play online game that combines elements of MMORPG, ARPG, action and idle, with modes such as PvE, Arena, PvP, guilds and seasons. Available features may change during development.
3. Closed beta
The closed beta is a testing phase with a limited number of spots. Signing up does not guarantee access: invitations are sent by email, in waves, at RuneCastle's discretion. During the beta:
- the game may contain bugs, instability and downtime;
- features, balance and content may change at any time;
- progress, items and currencies may be reset, with advance notice whenever possible;
- what you earn in the beta gives no right to compensation, except for rewards expressly announced.
4. Sign-up and account
You must provide truthful information and keep your email up to date. Each person may have only one beta sign-up. The account is personal and non-transferable, and you are responsible for everything that happens in it. Do not share your password.
Players under 18 must have the authorization of a legal guardian. Children under 13 may not sign up.
5. Player conduct
The following is prohibited:
- using cheats, bots, scripts, exploits or any software that gives an unfair advantage;
- selling, buying or trading accounts, items or currencies outside the means offered in the game;
- harassing, threatening or discriminating against other players, including in chat, in guilds and in character names;
- trying to access restricted areas, overloading the servers or breaking into the system;
- reverse engineering, copying or redistributing the game or its files.
Violations may lead to a warning, suspension or ban of the account, with or without notice, depending on severity.
6. Virtual items and purchases
Items, currencies, characters and other goods in the game are limited licenses of use, with no monetary value outside the game and no ownership rights. The game is free, but may offer optional purchases. When purchases exist, price, payment and refund conditions will be shown before you buy, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
7. Intellectual property
The RuneCastle name, the crest, the characters, illustrations, texts, music, code and all content of the game and website belong to RuneCastle or its licensors and are protected by Brazilian law. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to play. No content may be copied or used commercially without written permission.
8. Feedback and player content
By sending suggestions, bug reports or messages, you allow RuneCastle to use them to improve the game, without payment. You remain responsible for what you write in chats and profiles, which must not violate third-party rights or the law.
9. Availability and limitation of liability
The game is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation, and we may suspend, change or end the service, in whole or in part. To the extent allowed by law, RuneCastle is not liable for indirect damages resulting from failures, loss of beta progress, interruptions or third-party actions. Nothing in this document limits rights that the law guarantees to consumers.
10. Privacy and cookies
The handling of your personal data follows our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. Relevant changes will be announced on the website or by email. Continuing to use the game after an update means you agree to the new version.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of Niterói, State of Rio de Janeiro, are chosen as the venue, without prejudice to the right of consumers to bring proceedings where they live, and to any mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence.
